It was our mission to get our Golden Gate picture today. We checked out of our hotel, and after breakfast at the Hollywood cafe, yum, we headed back over to Crissy field. We drove down as far as we could go, and then walked a bit. We snapped some shots and then got a little closer.
Still foggy, but we were satisfied. We drove over the bridge singing "Everywhere You Look" on our way to the Muir Woods for some hiking. They have lots of trails but they aren't very well marked. We took one that led up a hill in zig zag fashion. Not very interesting.
We decided to go back down and head back into the city. We were meeting my cousin for dinner and crashing at her place.
Dinner was amazing. We ate California Chinese at Abacus on Hayes near Cole. The restaurant is very chic, and decorated with Marvel characters. Spider-man pops out of a large photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge, and Batman's mask is framed and lit by the bat signal. Fun. We ate fried wontons stuffed with mushrooms, pine nuts and parmesan, bacon wrapped prawns, and chicken satay to start, and shared crispy orange beef, honey glazed tangerine chicken, and chicken in black bean sauce. All delicious! My mouth is still watering. The owner is eccentric and awesome, and they are very concerned as to how you are enjoying the meal.
Back to cousin Lauren's for a free night to crash!
